Position Description:
|
MUTI is seeking entry level Field Technicians to provide quality installation of wireless base station equipment for optimum system performance. Field Technicians perform duties in support of network expansion to ensure new and upgraded equipment is operating to meet performance criteria within a prescribed time frame. Responsibilities include: providing installation, termination, and commissioning services for remote base station equipment. Remote equipment includes, but is not limited to the following: BTS equipment, power bays, batteries, microwave radios, and associated network equipment. |

Required Qualifications:
|
- Must be capable of understanding technical information
- Ability to cross train on other telecommunications equipment
- Must be able to use hand and power tools and basic test equipment
- Ability to work with the Operations Manager to insure project profitability
- Ability to follow detailed procedures when performing tasks
- Must be willing to work day, evening or night hours--overtime, emergency call-outs, weekends, and holidays as required
- Must assume 24-hour on-call duty when assigned
- Ability to travel for extended periods of time
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Practice safe working procedures in compliance with OSHA regulations

Desired Qualifications:
|
- Two-year Technical Degree is strongly preferred
- 1+ Years of Experience in related industry
- Related experience in computer operations, switching, and radio or data communications
|
